CONSULTATION PROCESS

How can you get invloved!

AIDS Action Europe launches its consultation process for its 2022-2025 Strategic Framework. In this phase, members will have the opportunity to learn more about the Strategic Framework 2018-2021, what has been achieved, the importance of the framing of the programme by the members and information about the consultation process.

Following the awareness raising, AAE will conduct a survey among its member and partner organisations on priorities, needs and ideas of AAE members for the strategic framework 2022-2025 in order to determine objectives, core thematic areas and means and methods. The survey will also ask whether the respondent would be interested in leading a working group on the topic identified important by their organisation that AAE should take up in its upcoming strategic framework.

Once data and information are collected, the consultants, selected according to the quality of the core thematic area and workshop process description, will be assigned to prepare online working groups on the thematic areas that were identified during the online consultation process. Working groups will be assembled by the assigned working group leaders under the participation of at least one representative of AAE Office or Steering Committee. The working groups will discuss objectives, outcome and outputs, instruments and main activities during the strategic framework period 2022 - 2025. The phase should be finalised by October 2020. Working group leaders will receive remuneration, which should also be an incentive for organisations to participate in the consultation process.

During the Member and Partner meeting on November 10th 2020, the overall framework objectives and the core thematic areas will be presented and discussed in an online meeting. Presentations and discussions regarding core thematic areas will be led by the consultants/working group leaders (see above).  The online meeting will have continuous translation (English – Russian). After the meeting, members will still have the opportunity to comment on the drafts in a two weeks period.
